The Goodloe Family
Harold Goodloe was born on December 4, 1951 to Leroy and Ella Mae Goodloe in Athens, Alabama.  He is the fourth child of eight children; four brothers and three sisters.  He attended Trinity high school in Athens graduating in 1969.  After experiencing some turbulent and troublesome years as a teenager and young adult, Harold made a total surrender of his life to the Lord and was baptized in 1983 as a charter member into the New Life SDA Church in Huntsville, Alabama.  He met and married the former Debra Garth from Decatur, Alabama also in 1983.  They have four adult children and one teenager; Corey, Harriet, Joey, Mario and Erika.

Six months later, he felt the call to the ministry full time so he entered Oakwood College.  He graduated Magna cum Laude in 1989 with a BA in Theology and later attended Andrews University.

Goodloe began his ministry serving as Associate Pastor for Elder Roscoe Howard of Emerald City SDA church in Seattle, WA.  In 1992, he was asked to plant the seed of a brand new church and with 25 core members; Breath of Life SDA church was born.  After five years under his leadership, the membership grew to 225 saints.

Following a call from the Nevada-Utah Conference in 1997, Goodloe, wife Debra and daughter Erika came to Highland Square.  It was under his leadership, the renamed Abundant Life edifice was completed and two years later a new church was planted; New Life SDA Church in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He accepted a call from the South Central Conference to serve as pastor to his home church, New Life SDA in Huntsville, AL in 2002.  Under his leadership the church has become known as one of the friendliest churches in Huntsville.  Community leaders often refer to him as the outstanding public/civic minded pastor.  He has baptized over 70 new members during his tenure and attendance has increased 17% from 2003 to 2007.  The Lord is truly blessing his ministry.
